At Vanish, You’re In Good Hands
Our team of highly-trained specialists are here to help you get the care you need.

Dr. Denise Abernethy, MD, ABVLM, RPhS
Physician, Owner
I started my career in Emergency Medicine many years ago, prior to opening Vanish, and have been a licensed physician in Wisconsin since 2008. During my tenure in the emergency department, I discovered my passion for using ultrasound technology to diagnose and treat patients and vascular medicine.
I opened Vanish with my husband Marc, in 2018 in Oak Creek. In October of 2020, we opened our second clinic location in Brookfield and we have treated thousands of patients to date. I became a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine in 2022 and have been selected by industry leaders to teach physicians new to the field of venous medicine including surgeons, interventional radiologists, internists, and emergency medicine physicians. I am also a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society and am a registered phlebology ultrasound specialist.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband, two children and our dogs, play tennis, and snow ski. I look forward to getting to know you and being your vein specialist!
