What is Chronic Venous Insufficiency?
Chronic venous insufficiency is a type of vein disorder that can cause the following symptoms:
- Undesirable cosmetic varicose or spider veins
- Leg pain (throbbing, aching, or burning)
- Fatigue, heaviness, or itching
- Restlessness leg syndrome
- Swelling and edema
- Skin discoloration

We follow the Wisconsin Health Department and CMS guidelines for the management of a medical clinic during the coronavirus pandemic including but not limited to:
- All employees and patients are not allowed to enter the clinic if they are experiencing a fever or upper respiratory symptoms.
- Employees wear a surgical mask in the clinic.
- Patients are required to bring their own mask (cloth masks acceptable).
- Patient rooms are sanitized between patients and all equipment is wiped down with cleaning products.

Office Procedures in Less Than an Hour

Radiofrequency Thermal Ablation
Thermal ablation is a minimally invasive, in-office treatment alternative to surgical stripping of the great or small saphenous vein that is insufficient and causing reflux or backward flow of the blood.
Medical Adhesive Injection
The VenaSeal procedure an FDA-approved for use in the U.S. and utilizes a specially formulated medical adhesive that closes the vein after injection.
Foam or Liquid Sclerotherapy
Foam Sclerotherapy is used via ultrasound guidance and is another in-office treatment alternative to surgical stripping or thermal ablation.
Laser sclerotherapy
This treatment is a good choice for facial veins and the tiny red veins on the legs that are too small for a sclerotherapy injection and is often used in combination with injection sclerotherapy.
